Musical Theatre Collaboration: Malta & England

This immersive two-day workshop introduces participants to the exciting world of site-specific musical theatre, transforming everyday spaces into performance venues. Drawing inspiration from the beloved musicals Hairspray, Seussical, and Mary Poppins, participants will explore singing, acting, movement, improvisation and ensemble storytelling while responding creatively to their surroundings.

Using themes of acceptance, imagination, kindness, confidence and community, participants will devise original scenes, songs and movement inspired by these musicals. The workshop concludes with a public performance in a village square, where participants share an original site-specific musical theatre presentation with family, friends and the local community.

The workshop will be delivered twice:

• Malta: CentreStage Studios, beach exploration and final performance in a village square.

• Gozo: Indoor rehearsal venue, beach exploration and final performance in a village square.
